Sunny Menghi embarked on his academic journey in Law at Panjab University, earning his bachelor's degree. He then pursued his post-graduation studies at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, specializing in Energy Laws. Notably, Mr Menghi also completed an intensive three-month course on Intellectual Property Rights from the prestigious Federation of Indian Chambers Industry (FICCI), followed by "General Course On Intellectual Property" and "Introduction to The Patent Cooperation Treaty" both hosted by World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) academy's distance learning.

Driven by an insatiable curiosity to delve into the realms of energy and the environment, Mr Menghi actively engaged in various research endeavours during his LLM studies; notable among them are his contributions to projects such as "Techno-Legal Aspects of Carbon Emissions" and "The Emerging Biofuel Sector as an Eco-friendly Alternative." His academic prowess shone through in his dissertation titled "Carbon Credit: A Catalyst for Sustainable Development - A Comparative Analysis between India and China," illuminating the challenges of environmental preservation and sustainable progress.
